Koolie is a fun and generously-realised collection of work on the theme of ‘Holidays’, with contributions from:
An in-house extra-curricular project, Koolie was dreamed up by Sophy Hollington and Esther McManus as they printed next to each other at Ditto Press on twin risos.
Their love of risography and the playfulness of print led them to invite other artists, writers and designers (many of whom were met while working at Ditto) to contribute ambitious print projects which could be realised and fused together in one explosive anthology.
A related exhibition will be shown at the Ditto Gallery from 14th January – 1st February, with Koolie launching on Thursday 14th January. There will be a program of events running in the gallery space over the course of the exhibition, including a presentation by Mark Simmonds on Thomas Browne’s ‘Musaeum Clausum’, and a panel discussion hosted by Nick Wood on the relationship between artist, artwork, and audience.
Supplied in a sticker-covered cello-bag with posters, postcards, a bookmark and various tip-ins. Have fun.
